Google's Text-To-Speech App now Support Dutch, Polish, Russian, And Indian-English In 3.1 Update
Google has released an update for its Text-to-Speech engine on Android. The new version brings support for English (India), Polish, Russian and Dutch, however as of now, only female voice outputs are available for the new languages.
Text-to-Speech engine is used by Android apps like Google Play Books to read the text on the screen aloud. To change the Text-to-Speech settings on your Android device, go to Settings > Language & Input > Text-to-speech output.
Here is the full list of support languages: Dutch, English (India), English (United Kingdom), English (United States), French, German, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (United States).
