Samsung Announces The Galaxy K Zoom
Samsung introduce its new camera-phone Galaxy K zoom at a press event held in Singapore.
Specifications, Samsung Galaxy K zoom includes 1.3GHz Exynos hexa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 4.8-inch 720p HD display and 2MP front camera. The phone also packs 2430 mAh battery, 8GB of internal storage, and Android 4.4.2.
“With the introduction of the Galaxy K zoom, Samsung continues to demonstrate our commitment to creating products that meet the diverse demands of our consumers. The new Galaxy K zoom empowers users to effortlessly capture and share their most important everyday moments in stunning clarity, with the convenience and connectedness of a Galaxy smartphone, for a unique, all-in-one mobile experience,” said Sun Hong Lim, Senior Vice President of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Galaxy K zoom comes with 10x optical zoom lens with 20.7MP 1/2.3-inch sensor and Xenon flash. Despite packing some great imaging chops for a smartphone, the company has been able to keep the thickness of the phone to a decent 20.2mm (with lens retracted). It is still thicker than almost all normal smartphones but that is a compromise, you will have to make if you want a smartphone with zoom lens.
On the software front, exclusive to the K Zoom, Samsung has included a camera mode called Pro-Suggest, which recommends filters based on the lighting conditions, AF/AE separation that will allow users to pick separate focus and exposure points when composing a shot and Selfie Alarm, which helps users to take timed selfies with ease.
