Android's July 2018 distribution numbers
Today, Google releases the Android OS distribution for July 2018. Compare to last distribution (in May) android Oreo jump from 5.7% to 12.1% means more than double in the last few months.
Compare to the last year July Nougat hit to the market with 11.5% distribution number, that means there are not too much differences in these two Android OS distribution number after one year.
Compare to the last platform distribution number Gingerbread fall down 0.3% to 0.2% means near to remove from the distribution chart. Where Ice Cream Sandwich also fall down 0.1% with 0.4 % to 0.3%. Here the Jellybean total version stay at 3.6%, KitKat at 9.1%, Lollipop at 20.2%, Marshmallow with 23.5%, Nougat with 30.8% and Oreo with 12.1%.
Here note that Android OS last three version total market distribution number is more than 60% (66.4%) and add Lollipop number hit with more than 80% (86.8%) where google totally redesign the Android OS and introduce Material design. That means its help to the developer to work with the latest API.
