Google updates News & Weather app with new dark theme
Google has released an updated version of its News & Weather app in Google Play, which brings brand new dark theme and other changes. The updated version is already reaching Android devices across the globe.
In addition to the dark theme, which can be activated from overflow menu, the updated News & Weather includes search option, new UI tweaks and bug fixes. No official change-log is available at this point, so this is pretty much what we know about the update.
The company said that the latest update (version 2.2) to Google News & Weather app includes "new weather graphs, searchable news, a dark colour theme, and curated stories from your favourite publishers."
Features like Google sign-in for personalised news, tablet support, navigate sections via simple swipes or from Menu, weather and local news for multiple places, resizable home screen widget, and the 'Change editions' option from tapping on three dots on the top right corner in the app.
