Samsung Official : Introduces Galaxy Tab S tablets



Samsung announced its new Galaxy Tab S, which sports the vibrant and rich Super AMOLED display.
“The tablet is becoming a popular personal viewing device for enjoying content, which makes the quality of the display a critical feature. With the launch of the Galaxy Tab S, Samsung is setting the industry bar higher for the entire mobile industry. It will provide consumers with a visual and entertainment experience that brings colors to life, beautifully packaged in a sleek and ultra-portable mobile device,” said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division, Samsung Electronics.


10.5-inch and 8.4-inch display sizes, the new Galaxy Tab S tablets come with WQXGA (2560x1600p) display, 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa or 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (depends on the region of launch), and Android 4.4.
The tablet also pack 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front camera, 3GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Samsung has also included fingerprint sensor, IR Blaster, Wi-Fi and 3G/ LTE (optional) connectivity.
According to the company, the Wi-Fi versions of the Tab S 8.4 will be available for $399.99, while the Tab S 10.5 will be $499.99. Pre-orders for Wi-Fi devices begin June 13 at Samsung.com in the United States and the shipping will start in July. Later this year, the Galaxy Tab S will come to AT&T with LTE, Sprint (10.5) with Sprint Spark, T-Mobile (10.5) with LTE and Verizon Wireless (8.4 and 10.5) with LTE.

The global roll-out of the tablets will also begin in July.
