Motorola launches Moto G in India, priced starting INR 12,499
Motorola has unveiled the Moto G budget Android smartphone in the Indian market today. The phone is set to go on sale via e-retailer Flipkart on Thursday (Feb 6, 2014).
The company has only released the dual-SIM version of Moto G in the country, which has been priced at INR 12,499 for the 8GB version and INR 13,999 for the 16GB variant.
Moto G will be exclusive to Flipkart for the foreseeable future, which could be weeks or months. The company has not given a specific time-frame. This puts a question mark on how Snapdeal’s pre-order listing is stating Feb third week availability.
Moto G features a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.3 but Motorola is promising to provide the Android 4.4.2 update in the matter of days. The phone also comes with 50GB of free Google Drive storage like in other markets.
