Google expands Maps Navigation to 25 new countries


Google has expanded Google Maps Navigation to 25 new countries, taking the total number of countries where Maps Navigation is now live, to 99. Most of the additions are in Africa but there are additions from Asia, Europe and Americas too.



      Full list of countries:
  • Africa: Burundi, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Gabon, Lesotho, Libya, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Togo, Tunisia, Zambia
  • Americas: Haiti, Puerto Rico
  • Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Mongolia
  • Europe: Andorra, Croatia, Guadeloupe, Serbia
  • Oceania: Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu
Google Maps Navigation is an internet-connected GPS navigation system with turn-by-turn voice guidance. Navigation comes bundled as a part of the Google Maps app for Android app.  Navigation allows consumers to check walking directions, public transit details and biking navigation.
